Once Upon A Story Yet To Be Told: Jaime’s Night

Check it out… My very talented partner in crime wrote this awesome thank you!!! I’m not that skilled… So you just get a big THANKS! from me! Lol

amberjseniors

Once upon a time, there was a princess so dear

She didn’t rule countries, she ruled hearts far and near

Her story had barely been told and so it was time.

Volunteers helped to make it her night to shine

A princess should only be honored in a castle-like place

with vaulted ceilings and lighting, we found such a space

Hosted by 60 State in the city of Albany Friday night

Jaime found some time in the lime light.

Honorary members of the court spoke and welcomed the guests

John Robinson was there, simply the best of the best

Beauticians from the north, the south, the east and the west answered the call

while backstage looked like angles preparing for the ball.

Jaime, awaited her moment while music played

A purple dress just for her, a beautiful princess she made

The runway opened with gorgeous dresses all around

Made from our own…

Watching Your Children Grow~ A Pleasure And An Honor

SWoodStudios

Gabe in TN on Clingmans Dome

Sometimes I hate how fast time flies, and I wish I could “freeze” my son in place for a time. In the same breath I am super excited to watch him grow and I cant wait to see the person he turns out to be.. what will he be like? What will his career be? Will he call me regularly? lol How many kids will he have that I can spoil??

I think about these things all the time, so when I was recently sent this article by several of my long time clients, it blew me away and I couldn’t help but think how blessed I would be if I was still around 40 years from now to photograph your then adult children, and grandchildren. So my answer is “gosh I hope so”! I think we should make it a plan anyway! lol It has been a pleasure and an honor to watch your families grow, and  I can do nothing more than thank you for allowing me to become a part of your family, to be a part of that annual tradition! I am excited to watch your children grow and cant help but wonder what and who they will become as well. That’s a pretty cool thing. Thank you also for sharing this wonderful article with me. It also shows the great value in having portrait taken regularly. I love watching the passage of time and these four sisters have cherished these photos I am sure!!! So to those of you who shared this, thank you and I look forward to our next little photo adventure together and to those of you contemplating having your portraits done… what are you waiting for??

Introducing Lyndi and Michael! {Upstate NY Wedding Photographer}

Congratulations Lyndi and Michael! I am so pleased to have been a part of this amazing day with Amber J Photography! !!

amberjphotography

It’s not going to get more tantalizing for the eyes than this right here, especially knowing how full the hearts are! Lyndi and Michael said I do under blue skies at Thacher Park in Berne, NY.  The fall colors blessed them and sunshine embraced them as they promised forever.

I don’t get to say this often, but there was a zip line involved as well.  I also don’t get to say very often, that the bride made the vests and hats worn by all the handsome men of her wedding party.  That’s right.

So, take some time and enjoy this beautiful day, I sure did.
